UPDATE: With the annoucement of more strikes, including 23rd & 24th of December, and now the huge backlogs at some depots, I’ve had no option but to close early for Christmas orders.
As of today – 15th December, Delivery times will now show as After Christmas. Whilst orders will still be shipped until the 21st December, and may be received before Christmas, the chances are much lower than any other previous year.
If you want to order, to secure limited stock items, and are happy to wait for dispatch until after Christmas, and thus avoiding much of the backlog, simply add a note to your order at checkout, and we will sort this for you .
I would however, like to thank Each and every customer for their support this year – and would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year,
Claire xx
Royal Mail workers have proposed more days of strike action, which will effect our delivery times.
Whilst some mail will be moving, (Special Delivery – although not guaranteed, and Tracked 24 [Our Express Postage options] other mail will not – affecting all Our Economy delivery orders.
Because of this, and to prevent your order being held up in the system, the last Economy delivery order we will dispatch, will be on Wednesday 24th August so it should be delivered before the strike.
2 of the Strike days fall either side of August Bank Holiday weekend.
Normal Order dispatch will resume on 1st September. We will be dispatching on Tuesday 30th August, before day 2 of the strike
The next 2 days of strike action are due on the Thursday 8th & Friday 9th of September.
Our last dispatch will be Tuesday 6th for Economy delivery, and then resume after on Monday 12th September.
- Because of this, and to prevent your order being held up in the system, Our last dispatch will be Wednesday 28th September for Economy delivery, and then resume after on Monday 3rd October.
Whilst this might seem extreme on our part – Post held during the strike will not be moved until the backlog is fully cleared, due to the way royal mail is fined for delayed post.
Meaning your order could be stuck for days/weeks if we don’t take preventative measures.
- We will try and dispatch all our Express delivery orders Via Tracked 24, however delivery is not guaranteed due to the strike. Dispatch will be affected on strike days due to non-collection of parcels.
We sincerely apologise for the disruption.
